October 22, 2024 Dismantling the Table at the Former Altar

Dismantling the table at the former altar turned out to be quite a task.

And what looked relatively easy turned out to be a huge job. The table was a brick structure that someone planned to use for something very serious. It could have carry a few tonnes of weight. The amount of bricks and mortar used indicated that building materials were very cheap in those days and transportation had to be free. Our magician, the work manager, chopped at it for several days, cursing under his breath.

The amount of material to be transported was a truckload, and unfortunately we didn’t find any hidden treasures.
But today the platform can be transformed into a stage for artists.

How are the remaining renovation works progressing?
